BACCO STUDIO CULINARY ESCAPE Partner Retreat | 4 Days / 3 Nights | Sines House What It Is A four-day all-inclusive culinary retreat run by Bacco Studio — a Lisbon-based culinary art studio founded by Lara and Lia (Italian-Portuguese creators), with yoga and Pilates led by Celina, a certified teacher from Germany based in Lisbon. Hosted at the Manas Sines House. First run in May 2025 (22–25 May). A second edition is planned for September/October 2025. The Philosophy Inspired by the Italian concept of Dolce Far Niente — the sweetness of doing nothing. The retreat is built on the understanding that food made slowly, with your hands, alongside people you've just met, is one of the most restorative human acts available. It is not a cooking class with a certificate. It is a kitchen as a place of community, tradition, and honest pleasure. Who It Is For Food lovers, home cooks, curious beginners, anyone who wants to slow down. No pasta-making experience required. No yoga or Pilates experience required. Designed as an intimate group experience — maximum 10 guests. Welcoming solo travelers, couples, and friends. Duration 4 days / 3 nights. The Full Daily Schedule 08:00 — Yoga or Pilates session. 09:00 — Breakfast buffet with fresh, local ingredients. 10:30 — Hands-on cooking class led by Lia, the Italian chef. 13:00 — Shared lunch featuring what the group has cooked together. 15:00 — Free time: beach, walk along the coast, rest. 19:30 — Aperitivo hour, followed by a relaxed seasonal dinner. 21:00 — Evening: Italian movie night, music, or a quiet stroll through Sines. What Is Not Included Flights to Lisbon. Transport from Lisbon to Sines (buses run every 1h45m from €7, or rent a car for full coastal freedom). Travel insurance. Triple room from €560 per person (only one available — 3 separate beds, great for friends or solo guests open to connecting). Single rooms €640 per person. A 50% deposit of €230 secures the spot. Balance due 6 weeks before start. The Cuisine Italian grandmothers' food made from scratch. Hand-rolled pasta in multiple shapes, slow-cooked sauces, seasonal ingredients. Homemade dishes at every sitting. Italian-style aperitivo in the evenings. Backyard barbecues with fresh fish and vegetables. Local Portuguese wine under the stars. The kitchen becomes a gathering place from morning through night. Rules & Good to Know Check-in from 4:00 PM on day one, check-out by 1:00 PM on the final day. All communication in English. No prior experience in cooking, yoga, or Pilates needed — come as you are. A packing list and detailed info guide are sent before the retreat. No car needed: Sines is walkable and Manas arranges all activity transport. The retreat does not accommodate bachelor(ette) parties. Cancellation Policy Full refund if cancelled more than 6 weeks before start. After that, the €230 deposit is non-refundable. If the organizers cancel, a full refund including the deposit is issued.
